Practical hints
i This Operator’s Manual describes all fea-
tures, standard or optional, potentially available
for your vehicle at the time of purchase. Please
be aware that your vehicle might not be
equipped with all features described in this man-
ual.
The jack and the vehicle tool kit are locat-
ed under the hatch in the co-driver's foot-
well.
E To unlock: turn quick-release lock 1
counterclockwise or clockwise 2.
E Remove the cover.
E To lock: press quick-release lock 1
down until it engages.
E If necessary, remove the fixture using
tool

3 for the DEF fuel filler cap.
E Remove vehicle tool kit 6.
E Pull tensioning lever 4 upward and
unhook the retaining strap of jack 5.
E Remove jack 5 upward out of the re-
tainer.
! Place the jack into the retainer as shown
when storing it back into place. Make sure that
the jack's retaining strap is hooked in and ten-
sioned.

To avoid the risk of causing serious or fatal
injury, or damage to the vehicle, please bear
the following points in mind:
O the jack is designed only to raise the
vehicle for a short time, for example while
a wheel is being changed. It is not
designed to enable work to be carried out
underneath the vehicle.
O the jack must be placed on a firm, flat
surface only.
O never change wheels on uphill or downhill
gradients.
O do not crawl under the vehicle if it is only
supported by the jack.
O make sure that no persons are inside the
vehicle when it is raised.
O do not start the engine while the vehicle
is raised.
O make sure that the distance between the
underside of the tires and the ground
does not exceed 1.2 in (30 mm).
O if work is to be carried out under the
vehicle, the vehicle must be placed on
stands.
