Controls in detail
This prevents you from seeing a tempera-
ture display influenced by heat from the
engine when the vehicle is stationary or
moving slowly.
Use the f, g, 4 or 9 buttons to select
the following functions:
O Calling up the service due date

O Checking the engine oil level

O Selecting/setting the auxiliary heating
switch-on time (

O Tire pressure monitor (e page 175)
O Setting the time (e page 85)
O Setting the date (e page 85)
O Setting constant headlamp mode

E To return to the standard display:
Press and hold the 4 menu button for
more than 1 second.
or
E Wait 10 seconds before pressing a but-
ton.
The display accepts the changed set-
tings.
Setting the time
E Turn the key to position 2 in the igni-
tion lock.
E Press the 4 menu button repeatedly
until the hour display flashes.
E Set the hour using the f or g button.
E Press the 9 reset button.
The minute display flashes.
E Set the minutes using the f or g but-
ton.
i If you keep the f or g button pressed, the
values will change continuously.
Setting the date
E Turn the key to position 2 in the igni-
tion lock.
E Press the 4 menu button repeatedly
until the day display flashes.
E Set the day using the f or g button.
E Press the 9 reset button.
The month display flashes.
E Set the month using the f or g but-
ton.
E Press the 9 reset button.
The year display flashes.
E Set the year using the f or g button.
i If you keep the button f or g pressed, the
values will change continuously.
Setting constant headlamp mode
If you have set constant headlamp mode
and the light switch is at $, the follow-
ing light up automatically when the engine
is running:
O the parking lamps and low-beam head-
lamps
O the tail lamps
O the license plate lamp
i USA only:
If you turn the light switch to T or L, the
corresponding light switches on. Constant head-
lamp mode remains activated if the light switch
is turned to Ã.
i Canada only:
If you turn the light switch to L, the low-
beam headlamps are switched on. Constant
headlamp mode remains activated if the light
switch is turned to T or Ã.
For safety reasons, it is only possible to
change this setting when the vehicle is sta-
tionary. The factory setting is
ON
in coun-
tries in which constant headlamp mode is
mandatory.
