Practical hints
It is no longer possible to
lock or unlock the vehicle
using the remote control.
It is no longer possible to
lock or unlock the vehicle
using the remote control.
The remote control batteries are weak or discharged.
E Point the remote control towards the driver's door han-
dle at close range and try again.
If this does not work:
E Lock or unlock the vehicle using the key (e page 58).
E Change the batteries of the remote control if necessary
(
e page 245).
The remote control is malfunctioning.
E Lock the vehicle using the key (e page 58).
E Have the central locking system checked as soon as
possible at an authorized Sprinter Dealer.
You have lost a remote
control.
E Have the remote control canceled at an authorized
Sprinter Dealer.
E Report the loss immediately to the vehicle insurers.
E If necessary, have the mechanical locks replaced.
Your authorized Sprinter Dealer will be happy to obtain a
replacement for you.
The key can no longer be
turned in the ignition lock.
The on-board voltage is too low.
E Switch off all non-essential consumers, for example
the seat heating, interior lighting, and try to turn the
key again.
If this does not work:
E Check the starter battery and charge it if necessary.
or
E The engine may be jump-started (e page 269).
or
E Consult an authorized Sprinter Dealer.
The key can no longer be
turned in the ignition lock.
The steering lock is mechanically stressed.
E Remove the key and re-insert it into the ignition lock.
At the same time, move the steering wheel in both ro-
tational directions.
The sliding sunroof is
jammed.
The electric drive is malfunctioning.
E Have the sliding sunroof checked at an authorized
Sprinter Dealer as soon as possible.
