Headlamps and turn signals
G Warning
The operating safety of your vehicle could be
affected if maintenance work is carried out
incorrectly. As a result, you could lose control
of your vehicle and cause an accident. Also,
the safety systems may no longer be able to
protect you or others as they are designed to
do.
Always have maintenance work carried out at
an authorized Sprinter Dealer. In particular,
work relevant to safety or on safety-related
systems must be carried out at an authorized
Sprinter Dealer. There is a risk of an accident
and injury if this work is carried out incorrect-
ly.
Problem Possible cause/consequences and E Solutions
The headlamps are fogged
up on the inside.
Air humidity is very high.
E Drive with the lights on.
The headlamps will demist after the vehicle has been
driven a short distance.
Moisture has penetrated the headlamp housing since it is
not water-tight.
E Have the headlamps checked at an authorized Sprinter
Dealer.
Windshield wipers

Problem Possible cause/consequences and E Solutions
The windshield wipers are
jammed.
Leaves or snow, for example, are hindering the movement
of the windshield wipers. The wiper motor has switched
off.
E Stop the vehicle as soon as possible and, for safety rea-
sons, remove the key from the ignition lock.
E Remove the cause of the obstruction.
E Switch on the windshield wipers again.
