Practical hints
The speed cannot be set
with cruise control activat-
ed

The display is showing a message of high priority and can-
not therefore show a change in speed.
E Proceed as instructed by the message in the display
(
e page 223).
E Deactivate cruise control if necessary (e page 124).
The rear-view camera
monitor display starts to
flicker or white stripes ap-
pear on the monitor dis-
play.
The rear-view camera is exposed to very bright white or flu-
orescent light.
E Check whether the rear-view camera works at another
location.
The rear-view camera func-
tions incorrectly.
The surrounding area is poorly lit, the ambient temperature
changes suddenly or is very high or the camera lens is dirty
or obstructed.
E Check the rear-view camera lens and clean it if neces-
sary (
e page 199).

Auxiliary heating
Problem Possible cause/consequences and E Solutions
G Warning
The operating safety of your vehicle could be
affected if maintenance work is carried out
incorrectly. As a result, you could lose control
of your vehicle and cause an accident. Also,
the safety systems may no longer be able to
protect you or others as they are designed to
do.
Always have maintenance work carried out at
an authorized Sprinter Dealer. In particular,
work relevant to safety or on safety-related
systems must be carried out at an authorized
Sprinter Dealer. There is a risk of an accident
and injury if this work is carried out incorrect-
ly.
Problem Possible cause/consequences and E Solutions
The auxiliary heating does
not switch on.
The ambient temperature is above 39 °F (4 °C). The auxil-
iary heating switches off automatically.
Lack of fuel.
The fuel tank is less than a quarter full. The auxiliary heat-
ing switches off automatically.
E Refuel at the nearest gas station (e page 154).
E Then start the auxiliary heating repeatedly until the fuel
lines are full.
