Part 1 - Calibration of AOA with Flaps Retracted
Minimum Visible AOA Calibration
This procedure sets the AOA value for the bottom of the AOA gauge green arc (Figure 30-14), which is
also the AOA value at which the gauge will first appear on the PFD.
Perform the Flaps Up calibration while flying the aircraft at an AOA somewhat higher than a n ormal
cruise flight (1.5 x stall speed in the Flaps Up configuration is suggested) to avoid nuisance frequent
appearances of the AOA gauge.

1. Ensure the appropriate Flaps Up Calibration tab is highlighted at the top of the menu. Select the
Calibrate button in the Minimum Visible AOA Calibration field.
2. Follow the onscreen instructions, then press the Start button to begin the calibration.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions, then press the Done button when finished.
