5-2-2 Configure Laptop NIC
In order for your laptop to be able to establish an FTP connection with the AWS (and IDC), its network
interface card (NIC) must be configured with an IP Address on the same network as the Senographe
system. To do this, do the following on your laptop:
1. Open the Windows Network Connections window, using one of the following methods:
• from the Windows Desktop, right mouse click on My Network Places and select Properties
• click START > Settings > Control Panel, then double click on Network Connections
2. From the Network Connections window, right mouse click on the NIC that you plan to connect to
the Senographe system, and select Properties.
3. From the Local Area Connection Properties window that appears, select the Internet Protocol
(TCP/IP) item, and click Properties.
