7 Select Save.
NOTE: If an error about incorrect LQC lot information is displayed, ensure that this LQC lot information
exists in CCM. See “Congure LQC Lots Data” (page 82).
8 If prompted to enter the OID, do either of the following:
Select Scan and scan a compatible OID barcode.
Manually enter the OID (touch the text eld to display virtual keyboard).
If the previous OID is already in the text eld, select Save to reuse or select the text eld and
overwrite the OID. If required, enter the OID password before selecting Save.
9 Wait while the instrument does the following:
Runs an ESV test,
Reads the test cartridge barcode,
Displays (Checking Test Cartridge), and
Displays (Warming Test Cartridge).
NOTE: To abort the test, select (Abort Test) at any time.
NOTE: By pressing (Home) or (Back), the test can be canceled.
NOTE: If the ESV test fails, run an EQC test. If the EQC test fails, contact Technical Support.
10 Wait while (Warming Test Cartridge) is displayed, the instrument is warming the test cartridge. While the
test cartridge is being warmed, prepare the LQC product for use by following the instructions provided in
the package insert.
CAUTION: Do not prepare the LQC product until the instrument displays (Warming Test
Cartridge). If the LQC product is prepared too early, premature clotting may adversely a󰀨ect
test result.
11 When (Apply Sample to Test Cartridge) is displayed, the test cartridge is ready to receive the
sample.
12 A 5 minute countdown timer will be displayed that indicates to add the sample to the test cartridge.
NOTE: A su󰀩cient quantity of the sample must be added directly to the center sample well to ll it. Should
a large drop of the sample extend above the center of the sample well, gently push the excess sample
into the overow area.
CAUTION: If a sample is not applied within 5 minutes, the test will time out. If this occurs, dispose
of the test cartridge and repeat the test using a new test cartridge.
13 Select (Start Test) to run the test.
NOTE: To abort the test, select (Abort Test) at any time.
NOTE: By pressing (Home) or (Back), the test can be canceled.
14 Wait while the instrument does the following:
Displays (Sample in Test Channel), indicating that the sample volume is adequate. If a
message that indicates there is a problem with the sample is displayed, repeat the test using a new
test cartridge and a new LQC sample.
Draws the sample from the sample well into the test channel of the test cartridge and proceeds with
the analysis of the sample.
Measures ACT (a counter displays the number of seconds).
Displays the test result. Test results are displayed as Celite equivalent ACT value in seconds, not
real-time seconds. If the test result is out of range, repeat the test. If the test result is still out of range,
see
“Troubleshooting” (page 65)
