Setting Description
EQC Lockout Control
EQC Required Choose whether to require (Yes) or not require (No) the QC lockout feature associated
with EQC tests. See
“QC Lockout” (page 53)
.
Yes – EQC is required.
No – EQC is not required.
CAUTION: If the EQC test feature is required (Yes), the instrument will be required to
perform validation testing at regular intervals. The factory default setting for this feature
is required (Yes) but can be changed using CCM. The manufacturer recommends that it
be required (Yes). The decision to require (Yes) or not require (No) this feature shall be
determined by and is the responsibility of the each institution.
When QC lockout occurs, a
Supervisor
must clear the lockout before an
Operator
can
run a test.
Auto EQC Choose whether to automatically run the EQC test at the specied interval:
No – Do not automatically run the EQC test at the specied interval.
YesAutomatically run the EQC test at the specied interval.
NOTE: When the EQC Interval expires, the EQC test will automatically start, and the
test result will automatically be stored in the database. EQC will automatically start even
if power is not connected.
NOTE: If Auto EQC is enabled, ensure test cartridges are routinely removed from the
instrument after a test. If a test cartridge is in the test cartridge insertion chamber when
the EQC test starts, a warning message will be displayed and the test will not run.
Interval If EQC is required (default):
Fixed Time Schedule – The EQC is required to run at a specied time. Factory
default value is xed (e.g.,
Congured time: 9 am, interval 8 hr. User start EQC at
8 am, next EQC will be required to run at 9 am [same day]
).
Rolling – The EQC test will be run at a specied interval. The start time will be based
on the start time of the last successful EQC test (e.g.,
Congured time: 9 am, interval
8 hr. User start EQC at 8 am, next EQC will be required to run at 4 pm
).
