334 THE HASSELBLAD MANUAL
fi lter, which, in the case of Hasselblad, can be done at the Hasselblad service centers. This con-
version done at the Hasselblad service center also involves recalibrating the sensor position
for the image distance without the fi lter and cover glass. The infrared fi lter must be re-attached
over the sensor for regular photography. Some Hasselblad photographers have used a converted
camera without the infrared fi lter for general photography by placing an infrared blocking fi lter
such as BG 39 over the lens. This fi lter eliminates the infrared rays before they enter the lens.
