4.30 Caster Assembly
Tools: T25 Torx® head bit 5/32” hex wrench Ratchet
3/16” hex wrench Bed jack Turpentine
NOTE:
When the brake/steer pedal is in steer, the left foot-end caster locks into a position that is parallel to the
bed.
REMOVAL
1. Set the brake/steer pedal to the brake position.
2. Remove the two screws (A) that attach the leg cover (B) over the caster (C) (see Figure 4-34 on page
4-52).
WARNING:
Failure to unplug the bed could cause injury or equipment damage.
3. Unplug the bed.
4. Put the siderail lockout switch at the head end of the bed in the locked position.
5. Remove the leg cover (B).
6. Remove the caster mounting screw (D).
7. Put a jack under the base frame, and raise the base frame high enough to remove the caster (C).
WARNING:
Make sure the bed is stable before you remove the caster. Failure to do so could cause personal injury or
equipment damage.
8. Remove the caster (C) from the bed.
