Accessing Front Components:
Remove the main front cover to gain access to components at the front of the
printer, such as:
v Ribbon drive motor
v Feed motor
v Carriage motor
v AFTA mechanism
1. Remove the front tractor.
2. Remove the operator panel.
3. Remove the front main cover screws (2).
4. Lift out the two tabs (one on each side) to release the two pins, and release the front cover from the base
assembly.
5. Tilt the front cover forward and lift it away from the printer.
Installing Covers
1. To install, follow the removal steps in reverse order.
2. Perform the tear-off line adjustment. See “Tear-Off Line” on page 295.
