To have the printer prompt the operator to enter data, use the
serial interface for communication between printer and host and
send a UI command after each power-up, as shown.
It is not necessary to reset the counter start value. The counter
keeps track of the last number issued as long as the power
remains switched on and is the counter is updated according to
instructions in the form.
