4. If you are installing MX10K-LC9600, remove the protecve plasc cover on the fabric interface
connectors. Save the plasc cover for future use (see Figure 92 on page 197)

5. Grasp and li the line card by the sides.
6. Slide the line card all the way into the slot unl the handle holes align. See Figure 93 on page 197.

7. Rotate the handles simultaneously unl the line card is fully seated and the handles are vercal.
8. If the router is not powered, the line card automacally comes online when you apply power to the
router. If you are adding the line card to a running system, issue the following command to bring the
line card online:
request chassis fpc slot slot-number online
