Indicator on when in operate, off when in standby.

Use to program and operate an installed option. Also used to scan external scanner
channels.
Rear panel summary
The rear panel of the Model 6517B is shown in the following figure. The descriptions of the rear panel
components follow.

1 INPUT CONNECTOR
Unguarded Configuration: Disable GUARD for amps, ohms, coulombs and unguarded volts
measurements
Guarded Configuration: Enable GUARD for guarded volts measurements
2 PREAMP OUT
Follows the signal amplitude applied to the INPUT terminal. With GUARD on, PREAMP OUT
is internally connected to the inner shell of the INPUT triaxial connector to configure the input
for guarded volts measurements. Referenced to COMMON. Rated at 200 V DC max. See
Preamp Out (on page 5-9) for more information.
