Scarifier (Optional)
The scarier, or ripper, is a mechanism with large teeth
mounted on shanks for penetrating and loosening earth,
gravel, asphalt and similar surfaces to shallow depths.
This attachment is used to break up material too hard
for the moldboard blade to cut, such as a surface
preparation device for ripping asphalt or breaking up
packed soil for construction site preparation, digging
and even landscaping purposes.
Hydraulically raised and lowered, the scarier has ve
replaceable teeth (with space for a total of nine teeth if
needed) for penetrating the grading surface. The tooth
supports are adjustable and secured with pin locks.
Front or rear scarier options offer the ripping power
to penetrate tough material fast. Choose from front or
rear scarier options (rear shown). The blade-mounted,
ip-down scarier option offers the convenience and
versatility of using the same attachment for plowing
or scarifying operations. This multi-use option also
attaches to the front nose of the grader.
