TRANSPORT
LeeBoy recommends transporting the grader on a at-
bed trailer rather than towing.
Remember the following guidelines:
Ensure the ramp, trailer and transport vehicle are
strong enough to safely handle the size and weight of
this large industrial machine.
Raise the moldboard and any other attachments to
the highest position. Pay close attention to clearance
when entering the ramp.
NEVER load the grader onto a transport trailer without
assistance from another person serving as a ground
guide.
Park the trailer in a clear, level area when loading or
unloading the machine.
Keep the loading area clear. Work slowly and
carefully to avoid accidents.
DO NOT place tie-down chains or cables over or
against hydraulic hoses, cylinders or valves, etc., to
prevent machine damage.
Check local and state regulations for
height restrictions on the transit route.
Ensure the transport route is free of
low bridges and other obstacles that can damage
the machine and/or cause a trafc accident that can
result in serious injury or even death.
Use extra caution steering when
loading and unloading the grader as slight steering
changes on ramps and trailers can cause the
machine to fall off. Serious injury or even death can
occur.

Loading
To prevent damage to the machine
undercarriage, frame and components, reduce
speed before wheels come into contact with loading
ramps or any abrupt change in the surface. The drive
system or other components can be damaged by
excessive shock.
1. Center grader with the ramp.
2. BEFORE moving onto the ramp:
Ensure the hauling vehicle has its park brake
engaged.
Ensure the moldboard and any attachments are
raised. The moldboard should be perpendicular
for added balance when moving up the ramp.
Use only WORK gear.
3. SLOWLY drive the grader straight forward up the
ramp to position machine in the center of trailer.
The grader should centered between the left and
right side of the trailer.
4. Engage park brake and set engine speed to IDLE.
5. Angle the moldboard so it is inside the width of the
trailer. Lower the moldboard and any attachments
(without applying down-pressure) once the grader
is situated. Block the moldboard and all wheels.
6. Turn off the engine. Relieve residual hydraulic
pressure by operating all the console control levers
after turning off the engine.
7. Secure machine to the transport trailer using the
tie-down procedure that follows.
8. Ensure cab doors and all engine access panels are
closed and secured.
9. Cover the exhaust with heavy-gauge plastic to
prevent turbo damage. Don’t forget to remove
before starting the engine!
