GENERAL INFORMATION
The LeeBoy 685D Motor Grader is a hydrostatic,
articulating grader designed with the functionality of
a larger grader but more compact. The 685D model
has the versatility for ne grading, spreading base
materials, ditch and shoulder work, medium cutting,
general construction, shaping, bank sloping, , and even
snow removal. The 685D is excellent for driveways,
parking lots, landscaping and road/runway maintenance
projects as this smaller grader is very maneuverable
and easier to transport than a larger machine.
This section offers information to help you understand
how to operate this grader and its components and
attachments, along with basic grading techniques. Pay
particular attention to safety warnings in Section 1 and
throughout this manual.
Ensure operators are properly
licensed if required in your location.
Use only Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel
(ULSD) with a maximum sulfur content of 15
ppm or less in this machine. This is a regulatory
requirement. Failure to do so will result in damage to
the engine and after-treatment system within a short
period of time.
Only authorized personnel who are
properly trained should operate this machine. DO
NOT allow others on the operator platform or near
this industrial machine and its heavy equipment at
any time.
DO NOT leave the operator station
unattended while the engine is running.
Keep the steps, hand-hold bars,
operation station and machine components clean
and clear of debris, mud and grease to prevent
falls or other accidents. Be careful mounting and
dismounting the motor grader. Always use the hand-
hold bars and steps. NEVER mount or dismount the
grader while it is moving. DO NOT jump from the
grader at any time.
