LeeBoy 685D - Periodic Maintenance Schedule

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
This section gives the necessary procedures for
routine and general maintenance on the LeeBoy 685D
Motor Grader. Keep the grader clean and follow all
maintenance schedules and procedures to maintain the
machine in top operating condition.
Maintenance must be a planned program including
periodic machine inspection and lubrication (see
Lubrication, Pages 5-6 and 5-7).
The operator should inspect the machine daily. Worn or
damaged parts should be replaced or repaired promptly
to prevent damage to other areas of the machine. Daily
inspections should include checking for loose bolts,
uid leaks, worn or damaged hoses, and debris or dirt
accumulations to prevent potential service or safety
problems.
The maintenance program should be done based on the
machine “Operating Hours” recorded on the hour meter
or by following the Periodic Schedule shown below:

Lubricate steering and tie rods, drawbar ball, lift
trunnions, and trunnion housing.

Lubricate hydraulic cylinder ends, front blade
pivots, moldboard pivots, axle pivot, stabilizer rod
ends, turntable, and control levers.

Lubricate articulate joint. X
Lubricate king pin bearings. X
Check and adjust toe-in if needed. X
Hydraulic
Check hydraulic oil level. Add more if needed. X
Replace hydraulic oil. X
Replace hydraulic charge and return lters. X
Check drive axle, gear box and planetary hub oil
levels. Add more gear oil if needed.

Change drive axle, gear box and planetary hub oil. X
Check gear box breather. X
Engine
Check oil level - Change at initial 50 hours. X
Replace engine oil and oil lter cartridge. X
Check engine coolant. Add more if needed. X
Change engine coolant. X
Check air cleaner indicator. Clean or replace if
indicator is red.

Change air cleaner lter. X
Check engine drive belt. Replace if needed. X
Inspect the drive belt tensioner, idler and drive
pulleys for dirt, wear and cracks

Electrical
Check battery, cables and connectors. X
Service battery. X
Fuel Replace fuel lter cartridge. X
DEF
Clean DEF tank lter (or replace if needed). X
Clean DEF Dosing Unit lter (or replace if needed).
Inspect every 3000 hours (or 3 years). Clean or replace if
needed.
