Figure 4-37. Moldboard Control Levers
1 - Moldboard Angle Lever: Push this lever forward to
rotate the moldboard blade to the right. Pull the lever
back to rotate the moldboard blade to the left. (Figure
4-37)
2 - Moldboard Slide Lever: The moldboard slide lever
enables the moldboard to shift outward (left or right)
as much as three feet (.9 m) to extend the moldboard
blade’s reach. Push this lever forward to shift the
moldboard to the right. Pull the lever back to shift the
moldboard to the left.
3 - Moldboard Lift Lever (Left): Push this lever forward
to lower the left side of the moldboard. Pull it back to
raise the left side of the moldboard.
4 - Moldboard Lift Lever (Right): Push this lever
forward to lower the right side of the moldboard. Pull it
back to raise the right side of the moldboard.
NOTE: Push both moldboard lift levers together to
lower the entire moldboard. Pulling both
moldboard lift levers back to raise the
entire moldboard.
NOTE: Continuing to push both moldboard lift
levers forward moves the moldboard into
“oat” detent, if equipped with this option.
Floating means there is no down pressure
(except the weight of the blade). This is
useful for moving ne materials across the
surface, snow removal, and removing loose
material from a hard surface. Pull both
levers back to release the oat detent.
5 - Moldboard Tilt Lever: Push this lever forward to tilt
the top of the moldboard blade forward. Pull the lever
back to tilt the top of the moldboard backward.
Circle Turn Cushion Valve
The circle turn cushion valve is an optional valve built
into the steering and circle (turntable) turn circuits at the
factory. It protects both sides of the circuit from high
pressure spikes created by shock (extreme) loads. If
the moldboard strikes an immovable object, this valve
allows the circle (turntable) to turn, thus preventing
damage to the machine.
