PROBLEM 11
The load drum will not reach the maximum speed.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Partial control from the handle to the controller, partial control voltage from the controller to the
pump EDC or motor PCP, damaged pump or motor.
When moving the problem handle fully in both directions, does
the drum Diagnostic screen show 100% handle command in the
raise or lower direction?
Yes
No
When moving the load drum handle fully in both directions, does the drum Diagnostic
screen show 100% pump or motor control in each direction?
Are 28 volts present (full speed) and coil resistance of 17 to
19 ohms at the pump EDC or to 26 ohms at the Motor PCP?

Yes
Voltage and Coil Ok
Remove the plug at motor port M5 and check orifice for obstruction.
(See Section 2 - Motor Components.)
Repair or replace the coil or wiring.
Obstruction
No Obstruction
Clean or replace
the orifice.
Check the pump and motor for leakage. (See
Section 2 - Motor Leakage Test.)
Repair or replace the pump or motor.
Voltage and/or Coil not Ok
No
Replace the control handle or repair the wiring.
CHECKS
Check the selected load drum speed screen for 100% speed selected.
Yes
No
Make the proper adjustment.
