6. Check the following points while moving the carriage slowly over the platen from the right edge to the left
edge:
(1) The encoder sensor and linear encoder scale are not in contact.
(2) The encoder sensor rests on the linear encoder scale.
7. Perform "4.1.4 Check Encoder"(P. 157).
8. Follow the procedure in the reverse order for assembly.
