3.2.3 Capping
l Overview
Adjust the capping position, air suction position, and flushing position.
Capping position adjustment
Prevents the print head nozzle surface from drying and aspirates ink.
• If the position is offset, air will enter via the gap, preventing ink take-up. This may cause
problems such as nozzle clogging and improper cleaning.
l Procedure
1. Select [#Adjust] > [Capping] > [Cap Pos.], then press the [ENTER] key.
2. Open the front cover.
3. Remove the following covers.(1.5)

4. Adjust the position as shown below and press the [ENTER] key.
• Adjust the C slider pin 3 mm to the right of the highest point on the cap slider base.

Air suction position adjustment
Adjust the position for sucking up ink remaining in the cap.
• Close contact between the cap and the nozzle surface will apply pressure on the nozzle
surface, potentially resulting in print head failure. If the gap between the cap and nozzle surface
is too small, ink will remain, causing color mixing.
• Check and adjust the head height adjustment lever at the LOW position.
