2.4.1 Print head
l Head replacement procedure
Remove the covers.
Drain the ink from inside the damper and head.
Replace the head.
Clean the head.
Refill with ink.
Adjust.
• Be sure to clean the new head. Always prepare the required tools for head cleaning ("Head unit
flushing"(P. 144)).
• Failure to clean the head may result in ejection failures (e.g., nozzle clogging or deflection).

(1) Maintenance liquid (P. 16)
(2) Grease (P. 16)
l Procedure
1. Turn off the main power supply.
2. Remove the following covers.(1.5)
(1) Front cover front
(2) Front cover upper
(3) Carriage cover
(4) Top cover
3. Release the C cover stay cable clamp.
