4. Detach the C cover stay.
• Be careful to avoid damaging the cable.
5. Turn on the main power supply and press the [END/POWER] key.
6. Drain the ink.
• Reference: "Ink discharge from Head"(P. 144)
7. Select [Maintenance] > [Station Maint.] > [Carriage Out] > [Move To Platen Right End] and press the
[ENTER] key.
8. Turn off the main power supply and unplug the power cable.
9. Detach the double damper FIT on the top of the Damper.
• Be careful to avoid bending the ink tubes.
10. Remove the Damper.
• Be careful to avoid contaminating the surrounding area with ink.
• Do not dispose of the damper. It will be reused later.
• Do not dispose of the sponge between the dampers. It will be reused later.
11. Disconnect the connectors
• Push in the claws on either side of the connectors to disconnect them.
