3.1.7 Centering Adjustment of the Feeding and Take-up Units
l Overview
Check to confirm that the left and right spindle centers of the feeding unit and take-up unit are aligned. If the
spindle is found misaligned, adjust so that the centers are aligned.
• If the spindle is misaligned, this may cause image quality problems or transport error.
l Procedure
1. Bring the left and right spindle units of the roll holder together and tighten the knob screws (×1 each).
• Rotate each knob screw 90 degrees from the position in which it touches the roll guide. Tighten
the left and right screws equally.
2. Make sure that the spindle is correctly aligned.
• Check the feeding unit and take-up unit.
• If the spindle is misaligned, adjust the unit on the front left side of the machine.
(1) Loosen the knob screw of the unit to be adjusted.
(2) Loosen the bush screws (×3).
(3) Align the center of the spindle with the right unit, and tighten the bush screws (×3).
(4) If the center is misaligned, adjust the unit on the right side.
