6. Remove the scale holder. (Screw ×1)

7. Prepare a new Linear encoder scale.
(1) Put the long hole of the Linear encoder scale downward and peel off the left end of the
protective film.
• If no protective film is attached, proceed to the next step.
8. Follow the procedure in the reverse order for assembly.
(1) Attach the scale holder to the Linear encoder scale. (Screw ×1)

(2) Hook the spring on the scale base L and attach the Linear encoder scale.
• If protective film is attached to the Linear encoder scale, peel off the film while mounting.
9. Perform "4.1.4 Check Encoder"(P. 157).
