Storage
The unopened kit package may be stored at room temperature
(between 10° and 40 °C).
After opening the kit, store 4X Concentrated Solution A and 1X Solution
A (prepared by mixing 1 volume of 4X Concentrate Solution A with 3
volumes of deionized water) between 10° and 40 °C.
After opening the kit, store the tightly capped bottle of Solution B
between 2° and 8 °C. Avoid freezing any of the solutions.
Reagent Preparation
Preparation of 500 mL 1X Solution A:
1. Combine 125 mL of 4X Concentrate Solution A and 375 mL
deionized water in a
1 L beaker, bottle or flask. Mix thoroughly.
2. 500 mL Sterilant is sufficient to run the automated cleaning
cycle on the AquaMax DW4 liquid handling system.
3. For other desired volumes, add 1 part of 4X Concentrate
Solution A and 3 parts deionized water. 1X Solution A may be
stored for 30 days in a capped bottle between 10° and 40 °C.
Preparation of complete Sterilant:
1. Within 1 hour of use, add 0.2% (final v/v) Solution B to 1X
Solution A and mix thoroughly.
2. For 500 mL of complete Sterilant, 1 mL of Solution B would be
appropriate.
Reagent Use
Follow the recommended cleaning procedures in the User Guide for the
specific liquid handling instrument to be cleaned.
For stubborn cleaning situations, the Sterilant should be allowed to sit
static in the fluid path for 30 minutes half-way through the cleaning
cycle before continuing to completion.
For endotoxin removal, the Sterilant should be allowed to sit static in
the fluid path for 2 hours half-way through the cleaning cycle before
continuing to completion.
Be certain to rinse the fluid path with at least twice the volume of
deionized water immediately after cleaning.
