Configuring the Subscriber Management Models
Model What You Need To Do
Free access Disable the AAA services.
MAC address Enable the AAA services and add a subscriber profile to the
database for each MAC address you want to enable.
User Name and Password Enable the AAA services and Usernames. Add a subscriber
profile to the database for each user name and password you
want to enable. You will need to request a unique user name
and password when they pay for the service.
The user name and password are optional (the MAC address
will be substituted), but in this event the service is not
transferable between computers.
Credit card Enable the AAA services. You have the choice of enabling the
Access Gateway’s internal authorization module or using an
external credit card authorization server.
Internal Authorization Enabled
Enter the credit card server’s URL and IP address, then enter
the merchant ID you obtain from Authorize.Net.
If you have NOT enabled Internal Authorization
Set up your own external authorization server with your
merchant ID. Enter the secret key (the default is bigbrowndog).
Enter the external authorization server’s URL, then enter its IP
address as a pass-through IP address.
