1. When the vehicle faces to the slope
up position and the gear shift lever
is in forward gear position.
2. When the vehicle faces to the slope
down position and the gear shift
lever is in R (Reverse) position.
3. When the degree of slope up posi-
tion is greater than 3% and less
than 30%.
4. When the driver’s door is not open.
When HHA activates, the vehicle will
remain at the slope up position for 4
seconds after releasing the brake pedal.
This 4 seconds, press the accelerator
pedal. The vehicle starts to travel to
move the brakes will be released auto-
matically.
NOTE
(1) This function activates if the vehicle
moves forward or reverses.
(2) HHA cancels if the driver’s door is
opened when the vehicle stops at
a slope.
(3) HHA is not activated if the driver’s
door is not closed correctly.
(4) If the HHA system has a malfunc-
tion, HHA is not activated and the
brake warning lamp illuminates at
the meter cluster.
CAUTION
When the vehicle is at a slope up
position, the HHA system will not
activate when neutral gear is en-
gaged (for AT transmission).
WARNING
If the HHA system has a malfunc-
tion, the brake warning in
the meter cluster will illuminate. In
this situation, immediately drive
your vehicle slowly to an authorized
PROTON service outlet for inspec-
tion.

Steering Wheel Height

1. While holding the steering wheel
with your hand, release the lock
lever of the steering wheel.
2. After releasing the lock lever, the
steering wheel will be in free posi-
tion. Adjust the steering wheel to
the requited height.
3. After adjustment, return the lock
lever to its original position to
tighten the lock.
