cap to the right until tighten.
CAUTION
(1) There is a label indicates UN-
LEADED FUEL ONLY on the fuel
filler lid of this vehicle.
This vehicle has a fuel filler
tube that can accept a smaller
diameter nozzle of an un-
leaded fuel filler. Do not use
the leaded petrol type of fuel.
Leaded petrol can damage the
system of emission control,
decrease the performance of
the acceleration and increase
the fuel consumption.
(2) Do not let fuel spill on the ex-
terior surfaces of the vehicle.
The fuel can cause damage to
the paint.
USE UNLEADED PETROL ONLY
NOTE
Occasionally you might notice brief en-
gine knocking while accelerating or
driving uphill. This is perfectly fine and
not a cause of concern as modern day
gasoline engines are tuned with a slight
ignition advance for optimum perform-
ance and fuel economy.
Economical Driving
OWN006START16024
The requirement for low fuel consump-
tion is a correctly adjusted engine. You
can extend the life of your vehicle and
get the most economical operation,
Send your vehicle to an authorised
PROTON service outlet at according to
the recommended periodical service
maintenance.
The level of fuel consumption and the
generation of exhaust gas and noise are
very related to how you drive. Monitor
precautions below to reduce the wear
of brakes, tyres and engine.
1.
Starting
Prevent sudden acceleration. Sud-
den acceleration can cause higher
fuel consumption.
2.
Shifting
Change your gear only at the cor-
rect speed and engine speed. Al-
ways use the highest gear when
driving at high speed.
3.
City traffic
Frequent start and stop increases
the level of fuel consumption. Use
the roads with smooth traffic flow.
When you use a congested roads,
do not use the low gear with high
engine speeds.
4.
Idling
This vehicle uses fuel in idle posi-
tion.
5.
Speed
This vehicle uses more fuel at high-
er speed. Do not drive at full speed.
6.
Tyre inflation pressure
Check the pressure of the tyres at
regular intervals. Tyres with low
pressure can increase the resistance
of the tyre to the road and the fuel
consumption. Tyres with low pres-
sure cause the wear of the tyre and
cause a change in the driving
stablity.
7.
Load
Do not store unnecessary objects in
the luggage compartment and on
the roof. When you drive in a city
where frequent stop and start is
