When you install a child restraint system
in the front-passenger seat, follow these
precautions:
Rearward-facing type of child restraint
system
This vehicle possibly has an active airbag
at the instrument panel. If the front-
passenger airbag is active, Do not install
the rearward-facing type of child re-
straint system in the front seat. If the
airbag deploys, the child-passenger may
be injured or killed.
Forward-facing type of child restraint
seat
When you install this type of child re-
straint seat, follow these steps:
1. Adjust the front-passenger seat
seatback adjustment to the vertical
position.
