4. Regularly check the level of washer
fluid in the reservoir. If the fluid
level is low, add some washer fluid.
5. During cold weather, make sure to
add a recommended washer solu-
tion that will not freeze in the
washer reservoir. The wrong washer
solution can cause damage to the
system components.
6. During cold weather, make sure the
washer fluid does not freeze on the
glass.
7. If the wiper does not move because
of ice or other particles on the
glass, do not turn the wiper lever
to “OFF” position. Park your vehicle
in a safe area. Turn off the ignition
and clean the particles from the
glass until the wipers operate cor-
rectly.
Rear-window Demister

When the engine is in operation, the
rear-window demister switch can be ac-
tivated.
Press the switch to turn on the rear-
window demister.
The indicator on the switch illuminates
when the rear-window demister is
turned on.
To turn off the rear window demister,
press the switch again.
If the demister is not turned off, this
function will turn off automatically in
approximately 20 minutes.
To continue using the demister, press
the switch again.
NOTE
• Use a soft-cleaning cloth to clean the
inner side of the rear-window and clean
lightly along the heater wires. Be careful
to prevent damage to the wires.
• Do not let any objects touch the inner
side of the rear-window glass. Damaged
or broken wires can occur.

The hazard warning flashes can be activ-
ated, regardless of the ignition switch
position.
Push the switch to turn on the hazard
warning flashers. Push the switch again
to turn off the hazard warning flashers.
When activating the hazard warning
flasher, all turn-signal lamps flash con-
tinuously. The turn-signal indicator
lamps in the instrument panel will also
flash.

If the lights continue flash for a
longer period, more battery power
