With the remote transmitter within a
specified range, this system allows you
to lock and unlock the doors and the
trunk lid from outside the vehicle.
With the remote transmitter inside the
vehicle, start the engine
WARNING
The operation of keyless entry sys-
tem can cause an effect as follow:
(1) The radio wave transmitted by
the remote transmitter can
cause an effect to a medical
equipment. Any person that
uses a pacemaker must refer to
the supplier of the electric
medical equipment for any
possible problems.
(2) The radio wave transmitted by
the remote transmitter can
cause an effect to an aircraft
navigation and communication
systems. Do not operate the
remote transmitter while you
are on aircraft. During a flight,
make sure you do not accident-
ally operate the buttons of the
transmitter.
CAUTION
(1) Always keep the remote trans-
mitter with you.
(2) Make sure you have the re-
mote transmitter and lock the
vehicle before leaving the
vehicle.
Operation range of the keyless
entry system
The operation range to lock or unlock
the doors and open the trunk lid is as
follows:

The operation range is approximately
1.2 – 1.5 metres from the driver’s door
handle and 1 metre from the centre of
the trunk lid switch.
WARNING
If the remote transmitter is in the
specified operation range, any per-
son can operate the door switch
and the trunk lid switch. Any person
can lock or unlock the doors and
open the trunk lid. Any person can
operate the start stop button to
start the engine and operate any
electrical equipment inside the
vehicle.
