These connections can cause a
fire.
• DO NOT let the installed jump
cables entangle with the cool-
ing fan or any rotation part in
the engine compartment.
Start to jump-start
After installing the jump-cable, start to
jump-start. Follow these procedures:
1. Start the ignition of the vehicle en-
gine with the booster battery.
2. Let the engine with the booster bat-
tery run for some time.
3. Start the engine in the vehicle with
the weak battery.
4. After the engine starts, disconnect
the cables in the reverse sequence.
Remove the clamps of the jump-
cable start from (4), then (3), then
(2) and last (1).
After jump-start
Read these precautions after jump-start
on the weak battery.
1. When you let the engine to charge
the installed weak battery, the
weak battery can cause a fire and
an explosion to the vehicle. Let the
engine to charge the weak battery,
disconnect the negative (-) terminal
connected to the battery.
2. When you charge the weak battery,
keep away from any sparks and
flames from the weak battery.
3. When charging the weak battery
in a closed space, make sure suffi-
cient ventilation is available.
4. When the weak battery is being
charged, remove all battery caps.
5. The electrolyte of the battery, the
battery acid, is a corrosive mixed
sulfuric acid. If hands, eyes, clothing
and the painted surface of the
vehicle come in contact with this
electrolyte (battery acid), clean with
water. If the electrolyte gets into
eyes, flush with water immediately
and get medical treatment.
6. Always wear protective eye goggles
when working near the battery.
7. Do not try to pull or push the
vehicle to start the engine; You may
damage the vehicle.
NOTE
If the vehicle has anti-lock brake
system and the battery is not fully
charged, do not drive the vehicle.
This condition can cause an incor-
rect rotation of the engine and the
ABS warning lamp to illuminate.

Fuse Box OWN009EMERG21025
Each circuit has a fuse to prevent the
electrical system from short-circuit or
incorrect load capacity of electric cur-
rent. There is one fuse box in the driver
compartment and one fuse box in the
engine compartment.
