Rear seat belts

The rear centre seat belts is located as
shown in illustration. Pull the seat belts
out slowly while holding the plate. Hold
the latch plate, insert the latch plate into
the buckle until a “click” sound is heard.
Tug on the belt to make sure the buckle
is latched.
CAUTION
Before the rear seatback is folded,
make sure you put the all buckle
holder flat and in place.
Seat belt End-Lock Phenomenon
Front and rear seat belts is equipped
with lockable retractor which if its activ-
ate, it can lock the seat belt.
Seat belt lock caused by End-Lock phe-
nomenon, where user cannot pull the
seat belt out.
To release the End-Lock, pull out the
seat belt with some force, release a little,
then pull again.
Seat belt inspection
1. Check the belts for any cuts, worn
or damaged webbing or metal
parts. If there is a fault, replace the
belts.
2. Clean dirty belts with a neutral-
clean solvent and warm water.
After cleaning, let the belts dry in
a shade. Do not try to bleach or dye
the belts as it may affect the belt
quality.
CAUTION
Get your vehicle to an authorised
PROTON service outlet. Inspect the
seat belt assemblies, retractors and
components after any collision.
PROTON recommends that seat belt
assemblies be replaced after any
collision.
Pregnant Women Restraint

WARNING
PROTON recommends that pregnant
women must also fasten their seat
belt. Seat belt will reduce the pos-
sible injuries to the mother and the
unborn child. Wear the lap part of
the seat belt across the thighs and
tightly against the hips as much as
possible. Do not place the belt
across the waist. Refer to your doc-
tor for information.
Child Passenger Safety
