(2) Be careful when you work on
the fuel system. Gasoline is
very flammable.
(3) Do not smoke or cause an open
flame near the fuel system.

Meter, gauge, indication lamp and
warning lamp operation
Start the engine to check the operation
of all meters, gauges, indication lamps
and warning lamps.
Wiper and washer operation
Wiper blades
Before you operate the wipers, check
the wiper blades and the windscreen.
Good blades are necessary for clear vis-
ion when you drive.
Do not operate the wipers when the
windscreen is dry. The wipers may dam-
age the glass surface and the blades
wear off faster.
Regularly replace the wiper blades.
Washer fluid

If the fluid level is low, add washer fluid
to the washer tank (D).
CAUTION
(1) Always use clean water to pre-
vent the nozzle from blockage.
Dirty water can cause a block-
age to the channels in the
washer system.
(2) Use washer fluid that contains
an anti-freeze solvent. This
type of solvent prevents the
washer fluid in the washer
system from getting frozen
during low-temperature
weather.
NOTE
The front and rear washer system use
the same washer tank.
Exterior and interior lamps
operation
Operating the lamp switch and the
combination switch. Make sure that all
lamps properly operates.
If there are lamps that do not operate,
possibly a fuse or a lamp bulb has blown.
If there is no blown fuse, check the lamp
bulb.
Refer to the "For emergencies" section
in this manual for the inspection and
replacement of the fuses and the lamp
bulbs.
If there is a fault, get your vehicle to an
authorised PROTON service outlet for
inspection.
