Remote transmitter
The remote transmitter can be operated
within 20 m from centre of the vehicle.
However, the operating range of the
transmitter may change if the vehicle is
located near a TV transmitting tower,
power station or radio broadcasting
station.
If the following conditions are observed
after pressing the remote control, the
self-contained battery may need to be
replaced. The doors cannot be unlocked
without the transmitter. Instead, the key
can be used to lock or unlock the doors.
Replace battery of type Manganese Di-
oxide Lithium
Type A : CR1632
Type B : CR2032
Refer to page 126 for replacement bat-
tery of remote transmitter.
If your transmitter is lost, please contact
an authorised PROTON service outlet for
a replacement.
Using the remote transmitter
The key provided for this vehicle is
equipped with a remote transmitter.

PANIC button
• Press the button to activate panic
alarm mode. Press again to deactiv-
ate the panic alarm mode.

UNLOCK button/ UN-
LOCK button/tailgate remote re-
lease*
• Press the button once to unlock
the vehicle and deactivate the
alarm system.
• Press and hold the button for
more than 3 seconds to release the
tailgate lock. Push the tailgate
switch and lift up the tailgate for
full opening.

LOCK button
• Press the button once to lock the
vehicle and activate the alarm sys-
tem.
4 - LED indicator
• The LED indicator will illuminate
when any button is pressed, indicat-
ing the transmitter is functional.
