Position lights indicator
When the position lights operate, this indicator
illuminates.
High beam indicator
When the high beam operates, this indicator
illuminates.
Brake warning
When the ignition switch is turned to ON posi-
tion, this warning illuminates for a while.
The brake warning illuminates in these condi-
tions:
• The lever of the parking brake is engaged.
• The quantity of the brake fluid in the reser-
voir is low.
• The EBD or HHA system function has a failure.
If the brake warning does not illuminates when
the lever of the parking brake is pulled, imme-
diately contact an authorised PROTON service
outlet.
If the brake warning illuminates while driving,
there is a problem in the brake system. Park
the vehicle in a safe place according to these
recommended procedures:
1. If the performance of the brake pedal is
bad, push harder against the brake pedal.
2. If the brakes has a failure, use the engine
brake to decrease the speed. Slowly pull
the lever of the parking brake to park the
vehicle. Push the brake pedal to operate
the stop light (brake light) to give a
warning to the surrounding vehicles.
CAUTION
(1) Suddenly applying the parking brake
is dangerous because the wheels may
get locked.
Right turn signal indicator
When the right turn signal light operates, this
indicator flashes.
If the signal light quickly flashes, possibly its
bulb has blown or there is a problem in its
wiring connection.
Battery charge warning
When the ignition switch is turned to ON or
START position, this warning illuminates for a
while and goes off. If this warning illuminates
while the engine is operating, there is a prob-
lem in the charge-system. When this condition
occurs, safely stop and park the vehicle in a
safe area. Contact an authorised PROTON ser-
vice outlet.
