Abnormal sounds, unusual
vibrations and swinging move-
ments.
Drive system clogged by dirt. Check the movement of the
chain or drive belt and remove
dirt or deposit. Shorten the
cleaning interval.
Chains or drive belts are not
running parallel.
Check if the drive shafts are
straight with respect to the
frame and correct if necessary.
Guides, sprocket wheels or
return wheels are dirty or dam-
aged.
Check guides, sprocket wheels,
chains and return wheels for
damage or dirt. Replace or
clean them if necessary.
Irregular transport of the chain. The tension of the chain or the
drive belt is too low.
Tension the chain or the drive
belt. Refer to section 7.7.
Damaged chain. Replace the chain. Refer to
section 7.4.1.
Damaged return wheels. Replace the damaged return
wheels. Refer to section 7.8.9.
Increased temperature of the
bearing blocks. The return
wheels turn with difficulty.
Damaged bearing blocks or
return wheels.
Investigate and remedy the
cause. Reset the motor protec-
tion.
Transport speed too high. Investigate and remedy the
cause. Reset the motor protec-
tion.
Loose bolt connections. Investigate and remedy the
