stop-accounting message is initiated by the access device. In Ruijie built-in portal authentication
mechanism, the stop-accounting message is also initiated by the access device.
1. Whether to deploy the first generation web authentication mechanism or the second
generation, or the built-in portal authentication depends on the type of Portal Server you are
using.
2. Those different web authentication mechanisms do share some common parameters, yet
there are also other parameters which will be introduced separately in separate sections.
Please read carefully to avoid improper settings of parameters which may lead to misuse of
web authentication.
Default Configurations
The following table describes the default configurations of web authentication.

between the device and Portal Server
