Device Management Configuration
Introduction
Device management includes intelligent temperature control and asset management.
Intelligent temperature control provides a temperature control mechanism and an over-temperature protection function for
the system. Generally, the intelligent controller not only controls the rotation speed of fans to keep the system from
over-heating, but also reduces noise, saves energy, and prolongs the lifetime of fans. It provides over-temperature
protection to protect components on the system card. You can also configure the intelligent fan modes.
Asset management allows you to view the information of online assets for effective and efficient management of assets.
Basic Concepts
Intelligent Temperature Control
The intelligent temperature control system consists of intelligent fans and over-temperature protection.
By default, intelligent temperature control is enabled. Disabling this feature is not supported. The default value of different
temperature threshed is shown in the following table (note: the temperature value refers to the internal temperature of the
chassis).
