Ruijie# configure terminal
Enter global configuration mode.
Ruijie(config)# no web-auth portal
extension
Disable Portal protocol extension to use the standard Portal
protocol.
To restore Portal protocol extension, run the web-auth portal extension command.
Configuration example:
# Use the standard Portal protocol to communicate with the Portal server.
Ruijie# configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
Ruijie(config)# no web-auth portal extension
Ruijie(config)# show web-auth portal parameters
For interworking with non-Ruijie products, disable Portal protocol extension because the
third-party Portal server may not support Ruijie Portal protocol extension. If Portal protocol
extension is not disabled during interworking with non-Ruijie products, incompatibility
problems may occur.

Configuring the Optional Features of Web Authentication
The preceding description provides the required configurations for web authentication. In addition to
these configurations, web authentication also provides some optional features which apply to both the
first generation and the second generation web authentication. These optional features can help users
solve some actual problems in a specific network environment.
Configuring HTTP Port for Redirection
The basis of web authentication is to intercept HTTP messages sent by unauthenticated terminals and
redirect them to the Portal Server. Since the HTTP protocol formulates to use port 80 to communicate by
default, the device intercept TCP messages destined to port 80 by default. However, in some network
environment, the port number of HTTP messages sent from the device is not 80. For example, you can
change the HTTP port number through browser settings. In such case, you need to add the non-standard
port number into the interception list for the device to identify.
