cable should be disconnected at both ends, i.e. unplugged individually and successively, first
from the electronics and then, if required, from the ultrasonic probes, or suitably attached to
prevent uncontrolled movement of the cable with the unprotected, open cable connector.
The cables for the intrinsically safe components are marked either with “Exi” or a blue cable
covering or with blue shrink sleeves on the cable ends or with the SICK item number, at least
on the associated packaging. The technical safety data are shown in the Type Examination
Certificate.
Operation of the sender/receiver units type F1F-M, F1F-P, F1F-S with sensors and
components not belonging to the system and sensors from other manufacturers is not
permitted. See the Type Examination Certificate for the technical safety data.
Specific requirements for installation in the USA and Canada
Installations in USA must be carried out according to NEC (ANSI/NFPA70).
Installations in Canada must be carried out according to CEC part 1.
