3.9.2 Test input on the sender
The test input can be used to switch off the sender. This simulates a complete blocking
of the beams. This makes it possible to test the behavior of the switching or analog out‐
puts that have been configured accordingly.
3.10 Application examples
3.10.1 MLG2 application examples
The MLG-2 is suitable for optical and non-contact edge detection and width and center
calculation of flexible and rigid sheets of material. It can detect up to 10 edges. 10
functions can be calculated from this. These can be centers or widths. The material can
be opaque or partially transparent with a transmission of up to 80%.
