InordertousetheST90,youmustrstturniton.ToturnontheST90usethePowerbutton
ontheOperatingPanel.TheST90programstartsautomaticallywhentheProcessorUnitis
turnedon.
Caution
YoumustneverstartST90transmissions(pinging)whentheshipisindrydock.The
transducermaybedamagedifittransmitsinopenair.
Procedure
1Makesurethatyouhavesufcientwaterdepthbelowthekeelbeforeyoulowerthe
transducer.
2Turnonthedisplay(s).
Ifrequired,refertotheinstructionsprovidedbythedisplaymanufacturer.
3OntheOperatingPanel,pressPower,andkeepitdepressedforafewseconds.
TheblueindicatorlightinthebuttonasheswhiletheOperatingPanel
establishescontactwiththeProcessorUnit.Whentheconnectionhas
beenmade,theblueindicatorlightislitpermanently.
WaitwhiletheoperatingsystemandST90programisloadedand
started.BoththeProcessorUnitandtheTransceiverUnitareturned
onautomatically.
4ObservethattheTransceiverOn/Offdialogboxopensautomatically.
Thedialogboxoffersprogressinformation.Youcanmonitortheprogressasthe
TransceiverUnitisturnedon.Abluecircleonthehullunitsymbolmeansthatyour
ST90ProcessorUnitcommunicateswiththeMotorControlUnit.
5Oncetheprogramhasstarted,observethatthepresentationllstheentirescreen.
