position.Toselectwhichsensorstoinstall,usetheSensorInstallationpage.Yourcurrent
positionisshownonthetopbarifyouhaveenabledthisintheDisplayOptionsdialogbox.

YouhaveavacantinterfaceportonyourProcessorUnit.
YouarefamiliarwithNMEAandotherrelevantdatagramformats.
Youknowhowtosetuptheparametersforserialandlocalareanetwork(LAN)
communication.
Theinterfaceportissetupwiththecorrectcommunicationparameters.
TheST90systemisturnedonandoperatesnormally.
ThenewsensorisphysicallyconnectedtotheST90usingaserialornetworkcable.It
isswitchedonandinnormaloperation.
Neithertoolsnorinstrumentsarerequired.

TheSensorInstallationpageallowsyourST90tocommunicatewithexternalsensorsand
systems.Y oumustspecifywhichcommunicationporttouse(LAN(LocalAreaNetwork)
orserialport).Youcantypeacustomnametoidentifythesensorimport.Inthelistofvalid
datagramformats,selecttheformat(s)tobeacceptedbytheST90.Onceasensorhasbeen
chosen,youmustselecttheoffsetvaluesthatdenethesensorsphysicallocationrelativeto
yourvessel’scoordinatesystem.
