IfyouwanttousetheST90asamasterorslaveinasynchronizedsystem,youmustsetitup
forsuchoperation.Todothis,youmustselectwhichcommunicationporttouseforthe
synchronizationinterface,andyoumustselecttherequestedsynchronizationmode.
Prerequisites
Thisprocedureassumesthat:
Thevesselisberthedoratsea.
YouhaveanRS2-232interfaceportonyourProcessorUnitthatallowsyoutousethe
CTS/RTSconnections.
For"slave"operation,aremotesystem(forexampleK-SyncorSimradTU40)mustbe
availabletoprovidetriggerpulses.For"master"operation,aremotehydroacousticsystem
(sonar,echosounder)isconnected.Thisremotesystemmustbesetupin"slave"mode.
Context
Whenevermorethanonehydroacousticsystemisinstalledonavessel,interferencemay
occur.Toavoidinterference,youhavetheseoptions:
Thesystemsareallconnectedtoacommonsynchronizationsystem.
Oneoftheacousticsystemsissetupas"master",andcontrolsthetransmissionson
theothersystems.
TheST90offersfunctionalityforremotetransmitsynchronization.Itcanbesetupto
operateineitherMasterorSlavemode.

WhenyouworkintheInstallationdialogbox,youmustalwaysselectApplytosavethe
changesmadeonapage.Youmustdothisbefore youcontinueworkingonadifferentpage.
