6 Installation and upgrade
6.1 Installation
PC
The system requirements for aural Scan are:
PC system
Quadcore CPU, i5, 8 GB RAM,
USB 2.0/3.0 Port, graphics card min. 1GB RAM,
free hard disk space approx. 80 GB
Minimum requirements

Procedure
 Insert/place the aural Scan data carrier into a drive of the PC.
 Its content will be displayed. If not, open the drive in Windows Explorer.
 Double-click the file auralScan.exe.
 The setup starts with the selection of the installation language (Suggested
value: operating system language). You can change the display language
later.
 Follow the setup instructions.
 Destination folder (file path), start menu folder and desktop icon will be
created.
 Complete the setup by restarting the PC.
 aural Scan is ready for operation (Start using the desktop icon or from the
app menu).
TIP
Quick start: Pin the aural Scan icon to the taskbar (drag & drop).
Utilities
The required utility software for the camera inside the scanner is installed
together with aural Scan (File path C:\Program Files (x86)\ or
C:\Program Files). Please do not change anything in this installation.
