Must be carried out manually in order to end the rescanning process
(the main scan and the rescan become a single scan).
Click on “Matching”.
You can cancel the matching process and continue rescanning.
By default the scans are:
Thinned, smoothed and cut
Displayed isometrically in the object color
Rotated once by 360° (for visual inspection).
TIP
3D viewer- and matching options (colors, object rotation and thinning,
smoothing, cutting filter
)can be configured.
Fill holes
aural Scan can automatically fill holes (gaps) in scans without measuring. The
function is fast and suitable for flat surfaces in the impression.
The rescan function is better suited for the construction of an earmold.
Click on “Hole Filling”.
Holes up to 10 mm
2
and larger flat surfaces such as the underside are
closed.
Click on “Hole Filling” until all holes are filled.
Check the result:
Bad quality:
Repeat the scan and fill holes with rescans.
Good quality:
Finish the scan project.
Cutting
Data that is not needed for the construction of the earmold can be removed
before the work is finished, e.g.:
Excessive length of the ear
Auricle/Base
Material residues (tamponade, cerumen, withdrawal string).
Enable a data removal function:
